Queeriosities (Art and Makers Fair)
1 2 3 December 2023 • Museum of the Home
Hosted at Museum of the Home during the holiday season, the Winter Edition of Queeriosities featured 48 LGBTQIA+ artists, makers, and small businesses sharing work that explored the relationship between queer identity and homemaking.
Playing on the concept of a traditional festive market, the fair featured an interactive badge-making workshop by Badge Cafe, a community swap library, and an audio-visual installation by Semi Precious. To celebrate the fair and its exhibitors we also hosted a live performance by Semi Precious at 180 House and a Sunday Sermon at The Glory.

About
Founded and led by curator Davy Pittoors, Queeriosities is a travelling platform that elevates LGBTQIA+ creatives expressing their identities through art, craft, and design. Ranging from pop-up dinners to full-scale art and makers fairs, our initiatives highlight those who have been historically sidelined and serve as a platform to knit our communities together and connect them with new audiences. We encourage the spread of both contemporary and historical LGBTQIA+ objects, art, and ephemera – and we aim to blur the lines between art and craft, museum and home, and archive and collection to open up new space for queer perspectives.
